Bhatbhateni Supermarket Chairman Min Bahadur Gurung Donates Over 71 Crore Rupees to KIOCH Children's Hospital

Kathmandu. Bhatbhateni Supermarket Chairman and Managing Director Min Bahadur Gurung has provided financial assistance of more than 71 crore rupees for Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH) Children's Hospital.

Gurung has donated more than 71 crore rupees so far for the construction of the West Block building of KIOCH Children's Hospital.

The newly constructed building will be inaugurated and handed over on Jestha 9. According to the hospital, although the construction of the state-of-the-art building has reached its final stage, the hospital has not been able to operate fully due to the lack of MRI and CT scan machines, which are considered essential for the quality treatment of children.

So far, more than two crore 24 lakh 73 thousand 333 rupees in donation commitments have been received for the purchase of MRI and CT scan machines required for KIOCH's under-construction hospital, the hospital stated.

Under the leadership of Dr. Bhagwan Koirala, there is a goal to build 7 children's hospitals in 7 provinces of the country. This hospital will open the door for treatment within the country, especially for children suffering from complex diseases.

The hospital aims to address the lack of specialized child health services in Nepal. The hospital administration states that Gurung's assistance has been of great help in this endeavor.
