Ncell Foundation Announces Nationwide SEE Scholarship Program

Kathmandu. Ncell Foundation, continuing its collaboration with Project Education, has announced the nationwide 'Ncell SEE Scholarship' for students who have passed the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) this year.

Under this collaboration, Ncell Foundation will provide scholarships to 100 SEE-passed students this year for studying grades 11 and 12. The scholarship will be awarded to eligible students selected based on written examinations and interviews conducted across all seven provinces.

This initiative will ensure equal opportunities for students from every corner of the country and will give special priority to talented students who require financial assistance to pursue higher education. Additionally, scholarship recipients will receive free communication facilities, including limited data and voice services for 12 months from Ncell, which will provide them with technical support to stay connected with their studies, new opportunities, and aspirations.

Ncell's Corporate Communications and Sustainability Director, Bishakha Laxmi Khadka, shed light on the organization's objective, stating, 'At Ncell Foundation, we believe that education is a fundamental pillar for building the nation's future. Through this collaboration with Project Education, we aim to support SEE-passed young students in fulfilling their dreams and ensure access to quality education for higher studies. We believe that geographical location and economic circumstances should not determine the future of our youth. Through provincial-level examinations and a transparent selection process, we are reaching out to those students who have the potential but lack opportunities. Through this initiative, we are contributing to building a strong and inclusive future.'

Project Education, a scholarship program operated by the Hundred Group, will also provide scholarships to an additional 50 students this year. This program has been continuously operating since 2017 and has been creating meaningful educational opportunities for SEE-passed students across Nepal.

Last year as well, under this program, Ncell Foundation provided scholarships to 50 students nationwide. Those students are currently studying in grade 12 at various educational institutions across the country, pursuing their respective academic aspirations.
