Trump Declares Iran Deal Ineffective, Calls Iran 'Cancer'

Ankara. US President Donald Trump has said that the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Iran is now ineffective. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the NATO summit, he commented that continuing negotiations with Iran is a waste of time. 'Dealing with them is a waste of time,' Trump said.

Trump's statement is seen as an indication that the initial understanding with Iran has almost failed. Earlier, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had claimed to have launched missile and drone attacks on US military targets in Bahrain and Kuwait in retaliation for the US attack on Iran.

Speaking at the NATO summit held in Ankara, Trump strongly criticized Iran, calling it a regime of evil and unhealthy thinking people. He also accused Iran of violating the ceasefire by targeting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump described Iran as a party playing a dirty game.

Clarifying that the US no longer wishes to spend time on diplomatic efforts with Iran, he stated that his administration will focus on other priorities. 'Cancer must be removed in time. That is my thinking too,' Trump said, comparing Iran to cancer.
