US President Donald Trump Holds Talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping

Beijing. US President Donald Trump is currently in China. Intensive talks are underway between Trump and Xi, who arrived on a two-day state visit to China. The two leaders discussed sensitive issues of trade, security, and bilateral relations in the presence of limited high-ranking officials from both countries. 

During this, both also had lunch together. According to the White House, the lunch menu was prepared keeping in mind Trump's dietary preferences. It included a mix of seafood, meat, vegetables, and traditional Chinese dishes. 

Premium dishes such as codfish soup, stir-fried crispy lobster balls, beef fillet made with morel mushrooms, and scallops were included in the lunch. These dishes represented the "fusion" style typically presented at high-level US-China meetings.

Among other dishes, the popular Chinese dish Kung Pao Chicken was a special attraction. Along with this, seasonal green vegetables, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, steamed pork, and shrimp dumplings were also on the menu. For dessert, chocolate brownie, fresh fruits, ice cream, coffee, and tea were served.
