Security Forces Conduct Joint Monsoon Disaster Response Drill at Rani Pokhari

Kathmandu. Security forces have conducted a joint monsoon-related disaster response drill at Rani Pokhari in Kathmandu. The Armed Police Force Nepal No.-18 Baghbhairav Battalion organized a simulation exercise at Rani Pokhari located in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-27. 

Acting Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Sunita Dangol, was present at the disaster response drill held on Friday. Rescuers from the Army, Armed Police Force, Police, Metropolitan Police, Scout, and Nepal Red Cross Society participated in the drill. 

Various techniques of water rescue, including deep water diving, were used in the drill. An unmanned surface vessel built by students of Pulchowk Engineering Campus was also demonstrated, informed the Armed Police Force Headquarters. 

AIG Ishwar Karki of the Valley Police Office Rani Pokhari, Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, members of the District Security Committee, and representatives of local bodies were present at the program.
