Recommendation Committee Formed for Shahid Dashrath Chand Health University

Kathmandu. A three-member recommendation committee has been formed for the selection of Vice-Chancellor and Registrar of Shahid Dashrath Chand Health University.

The University Assembly (Senate) meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Minister of Education, Science and Technology Sashmit Pokharel decided to form the committee under the convenership of Prof. Dr. Jayaraj Awasthi.

Prof. Dr. Lochana Shrestha and Prof. Dr. Dinesh Lamsal are the members of the committee. Prof. Dr. Awasthi is also the founding Vice-Chancellor of Sudurpashchim University. According to the university, the committee has been formed in accordance with the Shahid Dashrath Chand Health University Act 2082.

The meeting also nominated 6 University Assembly members (Senators) ensuring representation from various fields. It is informed that distinguished individuals including two women from the fields of Science and Technology, Education, Law, Management, Anthropology and Sociology have been included in the Senate.

Meanwhile, the meeting has expressed gratitude to all the senators who contributed to the University Assembly previously.
