Sudurpaschim Kachahari 2083 to be Held in Dhangadhi for Development

Dhangadhi. To discuss the overall development, prosperity, and policy reforms of the Sudurpaschim Province, 'Sudurpaschim Kachahari 2083' is scheduled to be held in Dhangadhi on Jestha 2 and 3. This program is being organized jointly by the Sudurpaschim Province Policy and Planning Commission and the Sudurpaschim Development Foundation with the slogan 'Meaningful Dialogue for Prosperity'.

Representatives from the federal and provincial governments, the National Planning Commission, Nepal Rastra Bank, the private sector, development partner organizations, experts, youth, and stakeholders will participate in this program to be held at Saurai Square in Dhangadhi.

According to Sher Bahadur Shahi, Chairman of the Sudurpaschim Development Foundation, this Kachahari will identify the challenges in the province's development and initiate solutions. He stated that the report prepared after the program will be used to pressure the central government with facts about why Sudurpaschim Province is lagging behind and to assist in its development.

Similarly, Nrip Sunar, a member of the Sudurpaschim Province Policy and Planning Commission, expressed confidence that this program will play a significant role in preparing the province's development roadmap and formulating effective policies. He also mentioned that a declaration will be prepared after the program.

According to statistics, the poverty rate in Sudurpaschim Province is 34.16 percent, which is the highest in the country. The organizers stated that discussions are necessary for the development of this region as industrial development is almost non-existent and only a small portion of the federal budget is allocated to the province.

The program, which is said to last for three days, will feature in-depth discussions among stakeholders on policy and planning on the first day, the private sector, labor, and employment on the second day, and the province's self-respect and development priorities on the third day. A 'Sudurpaschim Declaration' will also be issued at the end of the program.
