Government to Integrate Land Survey and Land Revenue Services, Expand to Local Levels

Kathmandu. The government has announced the integration of survey and land revenue services and their expansion to the local level.

Presenting the policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year at a joint session of the federal parliament on Monday, President Ramchandra Paudel stated that there is a plan to provide land administration services gradually from the local level.

The government will expedite the process of surveying land using modern technology and digitally updating records. 'Survey and land revenue services will be integrated and land administration services will be expanded gradually to all local levels. The process of surveying land with modern technology and updating records will be advanced,' said President Paudel.

Similarly, the government has adopted a policy to balance land ownership and use. President Paudel mentioned that arrangements for safe housing will be made to permanently solve the problems of landless, Dalits, squatters, and unorganized residents living in unsafe locations. The government believes that this will solve the long-standing land-related disputes and the problems of the homeless.
