CPN to Complete Unification Process by End of Jestha, Hold Unity General Convention in Mid-November

Kathmandu. The Nepal Communist Party (CPN) is set to complete the unification and adjustment process with all the components involved in the unification process by the end of Jestha. After the completion of unification and adjustment work, a campaign to strengthen and purify the organization will be launched, and initiatives will be taken to improve the working style, lifestyle, and conduct of the party's leaders and cadres, as mentioned in the CPN's Inter-Party Directive (APANI)-3. Similarly, the Unity General Convention is scheduled to be held in the second week of Mangsir. The APANI, signed by the coordinator and co-coordinator on Saturday, states, 'With ideological, political, organizational, and cultural clarity for building a revolutionary communist party closely connected with the general public in today's objective situation, the party's Unity General Convention will be completed in the second week of Mangsir.' All elected party committees from ward to central level will be formed according to inclusive principles, ensuring the inclusion of older, experienced, mature, and young people in all committees, with special emphasis on bringing the representation of youth and young adults up to 50 percent. Furthermore, special initiatives will be taken to re-unify the entire Nepali communist movement and build a unified communist party. The CPN's coordination committee meeting, which began on Chaitra 19, concluded on Baishakh 15. Coordinator Prachanda and Co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal signed the meeting's decision and prepared the APANI. However, leaders have stated that the circular has not yet been distributed to the party committees.
