Five arrested in Saptari for robbery and shooting

Kathmandu. Police have arrested a group that shot and looted money from two people who came to buy land in Saptari, four months later. On Magh 4, 2082, 47-year-old Mohammad Sadam and 60-year-old Tahir Miya, residents of Lahan Municipality Ward No.-10 in Siraha, were held hostage by five people in Kharcuhuiya, Khadak Rural Municipality-5, Saptari, shot and looted of money.

SP Gautam KC of Saptari told Ratopati that five people involved in the robbery were arrested on Baisakh 23 and 24. Those arrested include 42-year-old Mina Khatun, a resident of Kharcuhuiya, Khadak Municipality-6, Saptari, 43-year-old Hazrat Miya, a resident of Rupni Rural Municipality-5, 45-year-old Manjid Miya, a resident of Rajgadh Rural Municipality, 48-year-old Mumtaz Miya, a resident of Birpur, Khadak Municipality-6, and 35-year-old Upendra Mochi, a resident of Surunga Municipality-3. They were absconding after the incident.

Police deployed from the District Police Office Saptari and the Area Police Office Kadorbona arrested them. The accused are being investigated by the Area Police Office Kadorbona after obtaining a 5-day remand from the court.

SP KC informed that the accused are being investigated under the cases of kidnapping, holding hostage, and attempted murder.
