District Coordination Committee Rupandehi's Land Encroached, Municipality Contacted

Butwal. Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City has been contacted to vacate 2 bigha 2 katha 9 dhur of land owned by the District Coordination Committee Rupandehi, which has been encroached upon.

The land, registered in the name of the then District Development Committee Rupandehi on Falgun 11, 2050 BS, has reportedly been encroached upon for a long time.

Of the land located in the Devinagar area of Butwal-11, 1 bigha 2 katha 4 dhur of land in Kitta Number 159 and 1 bigha 10 katha 5 dhur of land in Kitta Number 160 have been encroached upon, according to the District Coordination Committee.

Rupandehi District Coordination Officer Yam Bahadur Kunwar informed that Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City has been contacted to vacate the encroached land with its land ownership certificates. He said that the local level will now proceed with the necessary process on this matter.

According to him, necessary steps will be taken according to the law after collecting the exact details of the land that has been encroached upon for a long time.

Meanwhile, Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City Spokesperson Shiva Rana said that there is a problem of encroachment of various government lands in the Butwal area. He informed that further decisions will be made by the executive meeting after technical study to ascertain exactly how much land in which location has been encroached upon.

He said, "The issue of more than two and a half bigha of land of the District Coordination Committee being encroached upon in Butwal is being discussed. However, a study is underway to determine exactly how much land in which location has been encroached upon. We will proceed to the decision-making process only after it is confirmed."
