Two Arrested in Sankhuwasabha for Stone Attack on Youth

Sankhuwasabha. Police have taken under control two people involved in an incident where a youth was seriously injured by a stone attack in Khandbari, Sankhuwasabha.

On April 19, 2083, around 8:30 PM, local 28-year-old Yasippa Rai was attacked with stones at Kole Chowk in Ward No. 4 of Khandbari Municipality.

Based on the complaint of Rabin Rai, police initiated an investigation and arrested two accused involved in the incident the very next day from Ward No. 1 of Khandbari Municipality. According to the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha, a case has been registered against both arrested accused for attempted murder.

Police have obtained a five-day remand from the Sankhuwasabha District Court for the first time to keep them in custody for investigation. Keeping in view the seriousness of the incident, police have further advanced the legal investigation, informed Meghraj Aryal, Police Inspector and Information Officer at the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha.
