New Armed Police Force IG Narayan Dutt Paudel Receives Rank Insignia

Kathmandu. Newly appointed Armed Police Force IG Narayan Dutt Paudel has been awarded the rank insignia. On Monday, Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha put the rank insignia on Paudel. The Government of Nepal Council of Ministers had appointed Narayan Dutt Paudel as IG effective from Baishakh 19. Paudel was appointed as the new IG after the previous IG Raju Aryal retired. Aryal and Paudel are batchmates. Aryal, who retired after completing his four-year term as IG, took command of the Armed Police Force from Baishakh 19, 2079. The provision is that the tenure of IG in the Armed Police Force is 4 years. Aryal, who joined Nepal Police as an Inspector on Baishakh 18, 2054, was transferred to the Armed Police Force.
