Roads Affected by Rain, Landslides in Nepal

Kathmandu. Due to rain in various parts of the country, floods and landslides have affected traffic on the main highways. Some major highways of Nepal Police are completely blocked, while traffic is being operated only one-way in some places.

The Koshi Highway is completely blocked due to a landslide in Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4, Barun on Baisakh 17. The Arniko Highway is completely closed due to a landslide in Ikku, Kodari, Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-2 on Baisakh 16.

The Mid-Hilly Highway has been obstructed due to a landslide in Bimirebhanjyang, Madhya Nepal Municipality-10 on Baisakh 17.

After a landslide in Chorakhola, Shivaraj Municipality-1, Kapilvastu today, the East-West Highway has been resumed one-way.

The Mid-Hilly Highway was damaged by a flood in Bokhim, Bhojpur Municipality-5, Bhojpur on Baisakh 12, which is currently operating one-way.

After a landslide in Jalthale, Annapurna Rural Municipality-3, Myagdi on Baisakh 16, the Beni-Jomsom road section has been opened only one-way.
