Resettlement of High-Risk Settlements Along Bagmati River Banks Begins

Kathmandu. The campaign to resettle high-risk settlements along the banks of the Bagmati and its tributaries in the Kathmandu Valley, under the second phase, has started from today. 

Security has been tightened in the areas where the government has prepared to run bulldozers. In some places, security personnel are assisting in moving belongings.

At Kalimati vegetable market, vehicles are currently prohibited from entering. Only vehicles that have already entered are being allowed to leave. Preparations are underway to run bulldozers along the banks of the Bagmati River here.
