Landslide Blocks Key Mid-Himalayan Highway Section in Lamjung

Lamjung. The Mid-Himalayan Highway section in Lamjung has been obstructed due to a landslide caused by winter rains. The road has been blocked since this morning due to a landslide at Bimire Bhanjyang in Madhya Nepal Municipality 10, according to Gyanendra Bahadur Kshetri, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Lamjung.

He said, "Due to continuous rainfall since last night, a landslide in that area has prevented the operation of vehicles plying on that route."

Although efforts are underway to clear the landslide immediately, the police stated that it will take time to clear due to the ongoing rain. Additionally, there are various streams along this road section, and the high water flow in these streams makes it impossible for vehicles to operate.
