BP Highway Blocked by Heavy Rainfall, Traffic Expected to Resume by 10 AM

Kathmandu. Due to the rainfall last night, the BP Highway has been blocked at two places. According to Suman Yogesh, chief of the Road Division Office, Bhaktapur, traffic has come to a halt after diversions at Charasay Besi and Katunje were washed away.

Chief Yogesh informed that efforts are underway to clear the road and traffic is expected to resume within the next one to one and a half hours. He said, 'The road is currently closed at two places, and we are trying to clear it. The road will be open by 10 AM at the latest.'

Due to the road blockage caused by the rain, vehicles and passengers have been stranded since early morning. He stated that the Department of Roads is using machinery to remove the obstruction.
