Health Ministry Recalls Misused Vehicles

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Health and Population has started recalling vehicles that have been misused within its subordinate structures. Following instructions from the Minister of Health and Population, Nisha Mehta, to bring all misused vehicles back to the ministry, the process of recalling them has begun.

Minister Mehta issued the directive after receiving information that even employees not entitled to vehicle facilities were using government cars under various pretexts. The recalled vehicles are currently kept at the ministry. The vehicles will be used by ministry staff based on need and in accordance with the law.

According to the law, only officials at the Joint Secretary level and above are permitted to use government vehicles.
