Kolkata Knight Riders Defeat Lucknow Super Giants in Thrilling IPL Super Over

Kathmandu. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a thrilling Super Over match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Sunday. KKR secured an easy victory in the Super Over after the match ended in a tie in the regulation 20 overs.

Batting first in the Super Over, Lucknow managed to score only 1 run for the loss of 2 wickets. Rinku Singh of KKR hit a boundary on the very first ball to chase down the modest target of 2 runs, ending the match.

Earlier, chasing a target of 156 runs set by Kolkata, Lucknow scored 155 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, resulting in a tie. In a difficult situation where 7 runs were needed off the last ball, Mohammad Shami hit a six to level the score, pushing the game into a Super Over.
