Chennai Super Kings Suffer Fifth Loss in IPL Season

Kathmandu. Chennai Super Kings has continued its disappointing performance in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. With an 8-wicket defeat against Gujarat Titans in Sunday's match, Chennai has suffered its fifth loss in the eighth match of the season.

Batting first after losing the toss, Chennai scored 158 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Although captain Ruturaj Gaikwad played an unbeaten inning of 74 runs off 60 balls, other batsmen could not make a significant contribution. Shivam Dube scored 22 and Jamie Overton added 18 runs. Chasing a target of 159 runs, Gujarat Titans easily achieved victory by scoring 162 runs for the loss of only 2 wickets in 16.4 overs.
