Government Mandates Electronic Attendance System for All Civil Servants

Kathmandu. The government has issued a circular to all ministries, departments, offices, and government agencies, making the implementation of an electronic attendance system mandatory for all employees.

The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (Administrative Reform and Management Audit Section) issued the directive on Thursday. The ministry has also instructed that records of these attendance logs be maintained.

In cases where the system is not yet fully operational, the ministry has ordered that daily attendance (check-in and check-out) must be recorded through the electronic system, and a printed, verified copy of the attendance report must be kept securely at the office every 15 days.

According to Section Officer Pitambar Saru, this decision was made in accordance with the secretary-level decision dated 2083 Baisakh 8.
