Oman Defeats Nepal 'A' by 70 Runs in Practice Match

Kathmandu. Oman has defeated Nepal 'A' by 70 runs in a one-day practice match. In the match held at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu, Nepal was bundled out for 210 runs in 44.4 overs while chasing a target of 281 runs. Despite half-centuries from Anil Kumar Sah and Ishan Pandey, Nepal could not avoid defeat.

Sah scored 50 runs off 64 balls, while Pandey made 52 runs off 62 balls. Dev Khanal contributed 43 runs off 43 balls, and Tirtharaj Das scored 31 runs. Sandeep Jora scored 11 runs, while other batters failed to reach double digits.

For Oman, Shakeel Ahmed took 3 wickets, while Nadeem Khan and Mujibur Ali claimed 2 wickets each. Earlier, after winning the toss and batting first, Oman scored 280 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted overs. Mujibur Ali was the top scorer for the team with 72 runs, hitting 4 fours and 3 sixes in 85 balls.

Similarly, opener and captain Jatinder Singh also played a half-century innings, scoring 58 runs off 48 balls with the help of 9 fours and 1 six. Haseer Dafedar scored 46 runs, and Ashish Odedara made 27 runs. Vinayak Shukla hit 25 runs off 22 balls. Towards the end of the game, Jiten Kumar Ramanandi remained not out with 17 runs.

For Nepal, Aakash Chand bowled brilliantly, taking 4 wickets for just 31 runs in 9 overs. Additionally, Santosh Yadav took 2 wickets, while Shahab Alam, Sher Malla, and Rashid Khan took 1 wicket each.
