Four individuals arrested with rhino horn in Sunsari

Sunsari. Four individuals were taken into custody on Thursday night from Barju Rural Municipality-6, Sunsari, along with a rhino horn. Based on a tip-off, a team from the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 1 Barah Bahini, Pakali, apprehended the suspects, confirmed Armed Police Superintendent Shyam Karki of the Armed Police Force No. 4 Battalion, Sunsari.

He stated that acting on intelligence regarding the transport of a rhino horn from Jhapa, the four individuals were intercepted near the lake in Barju-6. Superintendent Karki reported that one rhino horn and two motorcycles were seized from the suspects. The Armed Police stated that the identities of those arrested have been withheld. He explained that the names were not disclosed as the investigation is ongoing and the network involved is suspected to be extensive.
