Trump Threatens to Destroy Iranian Vessels Challenging Naval Blockade

Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump has warned that any Iranian vessels challenging the naval blockade imposed on Iranian ports will be immediately destroyed.

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated that if Iran's small 'fast-attack' boats attempt to obstruct the US blockade, they will not be spared.

Claiming that Iran's larger navy has already been decimated, Trump signaled that the remaining small boats would now be targeted. According to Trump, 158 of Iran's large vessels have already reached the bottom of the sea, and the US had previously spared the small, high-speed boats as they were not considered a significant threat.

However, he warned that if these boats are spotted near the US blockade, they will be immediately neutralized using the same tactics employed to eliminate drug smugglers at sea. For years, military experts have warned that Iran's small, stealthy boats could pose a collective challenge to the US Navy.

In recent months, the US has been conducting frequent strikes on small boats to curb illegal drug trafficking in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific regions. Just yesterday, the Pentagon confirmed that five people were killed in two separate strikes in the Pacific region.

It appears Trump intends to apply this successful model against drug smugglers to Iran as well. The US administration believes this strategy will allow them to maintain long-term pressure on Iran without becoming embroiled in a full-scale war.
