Dhangadhi Advances 'Bright Dhangadhi' Campaign with Smart Street Light Installations

Dhangadhi. The 'Bright Dhangadhi' campaign, aimed at making Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City a bright and safe city, has taken another significant step forward. Under the eighth phase of the campaign, smart street lights installed in nine different locations across the city were inaugurated simultaneously on Sunday.

Supporting the sub-metropolitan city's policy of creating 'one ward, one economic center,' representatives from various wards formally launched the lights in their respective areas. As part of the inauguration, Ward Chairman Santosh Mudbhari launched the lights installed on the road section from Kailali Bridge to Campus Road in Ward Number 1.

The event, held near Nova Hospital and Setopul, was attended by Mayor Gopal Hamal and Deputy Mayor Kandakala Kumari Rana. Similarly, Ward Chairman Raj Bahadur Air inaugurated the lights on the road to Phapla in Ward Number 3, and Ward Chairman Moti Rana inaugurated the section from Beli Hanuman Temple to Setopul in Ward Number 7.

Likewise, Ward Chairman Jugram Chaudhary in Ward Number 8 on the Anamnagar Hulaki road, Ward Chairman Rup Bahadur Kunwar in Ward Number 11 from Bela Chowk to Thapa Chowk, and Ward Chairman Sher Bahadur Mahara in Ward Number 12 at Jugeda launched the street lights. Ward Chairman Madhav Rana also inaugurated the lights in the Ghurjanna area of Ward Number 17. Local residents expressed great satisfaction following the installation of lights on the city's main intersections and inner roads.

The sub-metropolitan city believes this campaign will improve security and reduce traffic accidents during nighttime. With the streets illuminated, it is expected that local markets will expand and nighttime economic activities will increase.

The sub-metropolitan city stated that the installation of smart street lights will continue in the coming days to develop Dhangadhi into a modern and organized city.
