Police Inspector injured in road accident in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. A Police Inspector has been injured in a road accident that occurred in Dandagaun, located in Tarakeshwar Municipality-8 of the capital.

SP Naresh Subedi of the Valley Traffic Police Office informed RatoPati that Inspector Abhay Lama, who is stationed at the office, was injured in the accident.

Lama, a native of Ramechhap, was on his way to his residence in Futung after completing his office duties last night when the accident occurred. According to Subedi, the motorcycle he was riding, bearing registration number Bagmati Province-02-029 Pa 9415, was struck by a truck with registration number Bagmati Province-03-001 Kha 1715.

The collision caused injuries to his head, face, both limbs, and chest. Subedi stated that he is currently undergoing treatment at B&B Hospital in Lalitpur.

Police have arrested the truck driver, 38-year-old Ait Ram Moktan, a resident of Manahari Rural Municipality-5, Makwanpur, for causing the accident.
