Invited to bat first after losing the toss, RCB posted a massive total of 240 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Phil Salt played an explosive innings for RCB, scoring 78 runs off just 36 balls. Similarly, Rajat Patidar scored 53 runs off 20 balls, and Virat Kohli contributed a half-century with 50 runs off 38 balls.

Chasing a massive target of 241 runs, Mumbai could only manage 222 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. For Mumbai, Sherfane Rutherford remained unbeaten, scoring a team-high 71 runs off 31 balls, but could not lead the team to victory.
