101 Drivers Penalized in Kathmandu Valley Traffic Crackdown

Kathmandu. Traffic police have penalized 101 drivers during a special 'surprise checking' campaign conducted across various locations in the Kathmandu Valley. A large number of drivers were caught violating traffic rules during this sudden inspection on Sunday.

Among those penalized, 5 drivers were found operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol. Police have taken them into custody and initiated legal proceedings. 

Similarly, traffic police took on-the-spot action against 2 drivers for ignoring traffic lights and violating red signals, while 94 others were penalized for failing to follow lane discipline and various other traffic violations.
