Harisharan Thapaliya Elected President of Village Tourism Promotion Forum Nepal

Kathmandu. Harisharan Thapaliya has been elected as the President of the Village Tourism Promotion Forum (VITOF) Nepal. The 11-member executive committee, led by Thapaliya, who is the director of Sufficient Cargo Pvt. Ltd., was elected during the 27th Annual General Meeting and 13th Convention held today.

Similarly, Manhari Dahal has been elected as the First Vice President, Binod Wasti as the Second Vice President, Ajib Bhatta as the General Secretary, and Surendra Bhatta as the Secretary. Established in 2054 BS to promote tourism in rural areas of Nepal, VITOF Nepal has contributed to tourism development through community homestays in 32 villages across the country to date.

VITOF has been organizing various programs such as the Village Tourism Mart, Everest Day, Ropain Jatra Festival, and homestay training.
