Bus accident in Kapilvastu leaves 26 injured

Kapilvastu. Twenty-six passengers were injured in a bus accident that occurred last night at Banakaswasa in Kapilvastu along the East-West Highway.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ripendra Singh of the District Police Office, the bus (Bhe 1 Kha 4373) traveling from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu lost control and overturned at night. He stated that rescue operations were conducted immediately following the accident. Among the injured, 17 are receiving treatment at Sanjeevani Hospital in Chandrauta, while three are being treated at the Basic Hospital.

According to Police Inspector Santosh Ghimire of the Ward Police Office, Chandrauta, the remaining six individuals are undergoing treatment in Butwal. He added that an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
