Former Finance Minister Khanal Applauds Prime Minister's Decision to Dismiss Labor Minister

Kathmandu. Former Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has praised Prime Minister Balen Shah for dismissing Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security Deepak Kumar Sah. He stated that the Prime Minister's decision to remove Minister Sah from his position is commendable.

Former Finance Minister Khanal expressed his support for the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and the Prime Minister through a social media post. He stated, 'A firm stance against impunity reflects the character of a maturing governance system, where accountability is not selective but remains a principled and unwavering commitment.'

On Thursday, RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane recommended to the Prime Minister that action be taken against Labor Minister Sah, alleging that he abused his official authority by involving his wife in the regular operations of the long-inactive Health Insurance Board while he was in office.

Concluding that such activities by Minister Sah would seriously damage the party's image, ideals, principles, and dignity, RSP Chairman Lamichhane submitted a recommendation along with a commission report to Prime Minister Shah. Based on this recommendation and evidence, Prime Minister Shah dismissed Labor Minister Sah.
