Three arrested with brown sugar in Siraha

Siraha. Police have arrested three youths with brown sugar from Budhaura, Siraha Municipality-15. A patrol team deployed from Khirauna Police Post took them into custody while they were entering Nepal from India.

The arrested individuals are 19-year-old Abhishek Mukhiya from Dhangadhimai Municipality-3, 19-year-old Abhishek Mukhiya from Golbazar Municipality-12, and 21-year-old Arvin Singh from the same area.

According to the District Police Office, Siraha, the substance was discovered during a search of a motorcycle (Ma.Pra.01-004 Pa 268888) coming from India to Nepal at approximately 7:00 PM on Chaitra 24. Police stated that the substance, appearing to be brown sugar, was found hidden inside three plastic packets within the motorcycle's fuel tank cap.

The total weight of the seized substance is 4 grams and 60 milligrams including the plastic, and 2 grams and 500 milligrams excluding the plastic. 

All three arrested individuals are being held at the District Police Office, Siraha, for further investigation. Police Inspector Om Prakash Pandit stated that they were presented before the Siraha District Court on Chaitra 25 to extend their remand for legal proceedings.
