French national found in Pashupatinath area handed over to Immigration Department

Kathmandu. A French national found in the Pashupatinath area has been handed over to the Department of Immigration by the police. Spokesperson for the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, stated that after a video of the French national in a destitute state at Pashupatinath went viral, a police team located and transferred him to the Department of Immigration.

He said, "After the video of the French national in an abandoned state was made public, we questioned him and discovered that his belongings had not been stolen or looted, so we handed him over to the Department of Immigration."

Similarly, the police reported that the French national has been living in Nepal for the past six years with his Nepali wife, and due to financial difficulties, they had left their passports, mobile phones, laptops, and other belongings at the hotel where they were staying.
