Nepal mandates ticket bill presentation for migrant workers at airport

Kathmandu. The government has made it mandatory for migrant workers heading for foreign employment to present their ticket bills at the airport.

The Department of Foreign Employment issued a notice on Monday stating that this provision will come into effect from 29 Chaitra. The department clarified that this rule applies to both individual workers and those traveling through manpower agencies.

Furthermore, the department stated that workers traveling through manpower agencies must also carry an official receipt of the service fee they have paid.

The department has directed licensed manpower companies to mandatorily provide vouchers or receipts for the amount collected from workers. The department stated that this measure has been implemented to ensure transparency and control fraud against workers.
