Shivraj Bhatta Appointed Minister in Sudurpashchim Province Government

Dhangadhi. Nepali Congress Provincial Assembly member Shivraj Bhatta is set to take charge of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest, and Environment, which has remained vacant for a long time in the Sudurpashchim Province government.

A meeting of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party held on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah unanimously decided to appoint Bhatta as a minister.

Bhatta is an elected member of the Provincial Assembly from Baitadi constituency (B). The swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed minister is scheduled for 5 PM today at the Office of the Province Chief.

Additionally, the meeting formed a three-member budget suggestion committee to collect necessary advice and recommendations for the formulation of the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084.

The committee, coordinated by parliamentary party chief whip Bikram Singh Dhami, includes Provincial Assembly members Gita Kumari Chaudhary and Padam Bahadur Shahi as members.

It is stated that this committee will submit suggestions to the government for budget formulation based on the needs and priorities of the province.
