Parliament belongs to the opposition, says Nepali Congress MP Arjun Narsingh KC

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress MP Arjun Narsingh KC has stated that regardless of the size of the ruling party's majority, the parliament must belong to the opposition. During Monday's House of Representatives meeting, MP KC cited various historical examples and urged the Speaker to maintain balance by ensuring the parliament remains a platform for the opposition rather than the ruling party. 

Comparing the opposition to a spark of fire, he emphasized that even a small spark remains a spark. 'No matter how small a spark is, it is still a spark of fire,' KC said, 'Regardless of how large the ruling party is in the house, the parliament belongs to the opposition.' 

He further asserted that the parliament should not be held captive by anyone and urged the Speaker to create an environment where the house can function independently.
