Lucknow Super Giants Secure Thrilling Victory Over Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL

Kathmandu. In the 10th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Lucknow Super Giants secured a thrilling victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad. Playing at Hyderabad's home ground, the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Lucknow achieved a spectacular 5-wicket win, marking their first victory of the season.

With this win, Lucknow has earned their first two points, while Hyderabad has faced their second consecutive defeat. Lucknow, having won the toss and chosen to bowl first, restricted Hyderabad to 156 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In response, Lucknow chased down the target in the fifth ball of the final over, losing 5 wickets.

The hero of Lucknow's victory was captain Rishabh Pant. He played a responsible unbeaten innings of 68 runs off 50 balls to lead the team to victory. He was well-supported by Aiden Markram, who scored 45 runs off 27 balls.

In bowling, Hyderabad's Harsh Dubey took 2 wickets but could not prevent the team's defeat. Ishan Malinga and Shivang Kumar took 1 wicket each, while Ishan Kishan ran out Nicholas Pooran.

Earlier, batting first for Hyderabad, Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy contributed half-centuries with 62 and 56 runs respectively. After being in a poor position, these two batters shared a 116-run partnership for the fifth wicket to take Hyderabad to a respectable score.

For Lucknow, Mohammed Shami, Prince Yadav, and Avesh Khan took 2 wickets each, while Digvesh Rathi and Manimaran Siddharth claimed 1 wicket each. Hyderabad's Harshal Patel was run out by captain Rishabh Pant.
