Police arrest 18 individuals including notorious gangster Sanubhai in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Police have arrested 18 individuals, including Yuvraj Gurung, known as Sanubhai, for their involvement in criminal activities.

SSP Ramesh Thapa of the Kathmandu District Police Range confirmed to RatoPati that Sanubhai was arrested from Samakhusi last night.

Police have been conducting an operation against criminal activities in Kathmandu since Friday night. On Friday night, police arrested 17 individuals and are currently investigating them. 

33-year-old Sanubhai, a resident of Kakani Rural Municipality-5, Nuwakot, currently living in Suryadarshan Heights, Tokha, has been arrested and released multiple times in the past. 

Sanubhai was an associate of Kumar Shrestha 'Ghaite'. Kumar 'Ghaite' was killed in a police encounter.  After the police encounter with 'Ghaite', Sanubhai began wearing a bulletproof jacket and has now been arrested for the eighth time. He is currently considered close to Samirman Singh Basnet, who is in prison. 

In 2072, when he was arrested with weapons in Nuwakot, he was found wearing a bulletproof jacket. In Poush 2072, police investigated him for arms and ammunition charges.
