Two middlemen arrested for defrauding service seekers at Survey Office, Bhairahawa

Rupandehi. Two middlemen have been arrested by police for defrauding service seekers at the Survey Office in Bhairahawa, located in Siddharthanagar Municipality, Rupandehi. Acting on information that individuals were charging excessive fees by promising to expedite work for the public visiting the office, the District Police Office, Rupandehi, apprehended them. 

The individuals were caught red-handed during a special operation launched by the police to discourage the activities of middlemen in government offices. The arrested individuals have been identified as 32-year-old Shiva Narayan Kurmi of Omsatiya Rural Municipality Ward No. 3 and 30-year-old Surendra Mallah of Rohini Rural Municipality Ward No. 3, Rupandehi.

A special police team deployed from the Survey Office premises took them into custody on Friday. According to Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Chand of the District Police Office, Rupandehi, further investigation into both individuals is underway.
