Education Minister Pokharel inspects Janak Education Materials Center and Medical Education Commission

Kathmandu. Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Sasmita Pokharel, conducted an on-site inspection of the Janak Education Materials Center Limited and the Medical Education Commission. A team led by Minister Pokharel visited both offices located in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, today. 

On the occasion, Education Minister Pokharel stated that the government would provide necessary support and facilitation to the institutions. He expressed confidence in identifying potential areas for cooperation and collaboration to move forward in coordination.

Education Minister Pokharel said, 'Both these government institutions will receive further support and cooperation from the government. The ministry and the officials of these bodies should sit down to discuss and determine the kind of understanding required to move forward.'

Education Minister Pokharel inspected the book printing and other infrastructure at the Janak Education Center and took stock of the overall situation. During the visit, he directed the center to ensure that books are printed on time and delivered to the hands of students.

Similarly, Minister Pokharel inquired about the status and activities of the Medical Education Commission. He emphasized the need to resolve legal hurdles to proceed with the operation of Geta University at Geta Hospital in Kailali. Officials from both bodies presented the current status, activities, and future work plans of their respective institutions.
