Sudan Kirati Resigns from Progressive Democratic Party

Kathmandu. Sudan Kirati, a member of the Progressive Democratic Party (PRALOPA) Presidium, has resigned. Kirati submitted his resignation on Thursday.

Kirati clarified that he resigned from his post citing the importance of ethics and responsibility in politics. He did not attend the council meeting held on Wednesday and instead sent a separate letter for the approval of his resignation. 

Following his resignation from PRALOPA, speculation has intensified regarding his potential entry into the Harka Sampang-led Labor Culture Party. 

'It is natural to discuss the possibility of polarization with forces including the Labor Culture Party, as we had formally supported them in Sunsari 1, Bhojpur, and Khotang during the last election, and discussions with various forces are ongoing following the recent political situation,' sources close to Kirati stated.
