Padmashree Award: 15 Books Shortlisted for 2072 BS

Kathmandu. Khem Lal Hari Kala Lamichhane Samaj Kalyan Pratishthan has published an excellent extended list of 15 books for the Padmashree Award from the books published in the year 2072 BS. 

The Pratishthan, located in Ratnanagar, Chitwan, published the list through a press release on Monday.

According to the press release issued by the Pratishthan's Chairman, Jiba Lamichhane, 192 literary books published in 2072 BS were received by the Pratishthan. Out of these, the award selection committee has selected 15 books in the first phase and provided them to the Pratishthan. Now, in the coming month, the committee will select a short list of 5 excellent books from this extended list.

The works and their authors included in the Padmashree excellent extended list have been published in alphabetical order. Accordingly, Govinda Giri Prerana's work 'A-Vidha', Dr. Navraj Lamsal's 'Kalpa', Narayan Dhakal's 'Jagajjanani Usaki Aamako Naam Hoina', Chandraprakash Baniya's 'Tulu Raja', and Kshitej Samarpan's 'Torkin' have been included in the list.

Similarly, Navin Abhilashi's 'Dahaad', Uma Subedi's 'Paridhi', Om Rizal's 'Paikelo', Khagendra Giri's 'Bhagna Premshala', and Bhupin's 'Madhya Ko Ujyalo' have also been selected in the first phase. Likewise, Seema Abhas's 'Mahayug', Dr. Navraj Kesi's 'Svasparsha', Shrawan Mukarung's 'Salah', Shankarprasad Gaihre's 'Sutputra', and Nadish's work 'Hiunda' are also in the running for the Padmashree Award.
