Home Minister Gurung Directs Police for Citizen-Centric and Transparent Service

Kathmandu. Home Minister Sudan Gurung has directed the police to provide citizen-friendly, clean, transparent, and service-oriented policing. During an on-site inspection of the District Police Range, Kathmandu on Wednesday, Minister Gurung instructed all police personnel to prioritize these standards in their service delivery.

Additionally, Range Chief SSP Ramesh Thapa stated that the Minister committed to government support for the integration of technology in police operations. During the inspection, Minister Gurung inquired about the ongoing activities, service delivery, and criminal investigation processes at the range, according to SSP Thapa.

Furthermore, SSP Thapa reported that out of over 1,300 CCTV cameras in Kathmandu, 937 have been reinstalled following the vandalism that occurred during the Gen-Z movement.
