Twelve Arrested in Pokhara for Allegedly Hosting Party with Foreign Nationals Amid Drug Seizure

Pokhara. Twelve people have been arrested in Pokhara for allegedly organizing a party in collaboration with foreigners.

Kaski Police raided the location after receiving information that an illegal party was taking place. The party was being operated at a house rented by Bamendra Pun in Pokhara-18. Police investigation revealed that Bamendra and his group organized the party in an old house rented from local Krishna Parajuli.

DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson for Kaski Police, informed that the police raided the location in the middle of the night following specific intelligence regarding the open sale, distribution, and consumption of narcotics. Nine types of narcotics were recovered from the scene, and twelve people, including foreigners, were arrested.

He stated that eight of those arrested face charges related to narcotics, and four face charges related to indecent behavior.

MDMA, hashish, cocaine, khat, ice/amphetamine, pollyan, magic mushrooms, paper LSD, and liquid LSD were recovered from the location. Among those arrested in connection with the incident are two Indian nationals and one from Brazil. Srishti Chand (31) from India, Anubhav Sharma (35), and Charles Guiva (48) from Brazil were arrested.

Similarly, Bamendra Pun (32) from Pokhara-6, Bishal Pariyar (27), Ashish Darji (25) from Pokhara-5, and Saurav Mahara (29) from Dang were arrested. Nikunj Karki (21) from Kathmandu, Saksham Koirala (31), Roshan Adhikari, Bibek Pariyar (28), and Lok Bahadur Gharti Magar (26) were also arrested.

Police stated that all those arrested have been taken into custody for further investigation. Police noted that operating a party involving foreign nationals and narcotics is a serious incident. The party was organized by Indian national Anubhav Sharma and Nepali national Bamendra.
