Two Candidates Vie for Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Gandaki Province Presidency

Pokhara. Two candidates have filed nominations for the presidency of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Gandaki Province. Two individuals are claiming leadership for the fourth general convention of the federation. Current treasurer and former president of Syangja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Navaraj Subedi, and immediate past president of Baglung Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Naresh Kandel, have filed their candidacies.

However, the vice-presidency has been unopposed. Current Vice-President Surya Bahadur Bhujel for the Associate category and Harikumar Shrestha for the Commodity category were elected unopposed as only their nominations were filed. For the District City Vice-President position, former president of Lekhnath Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Laxmi Prasad Tripathi, and Mrigendra Ghimire from Lamjung have filed their nominations.

For the post of treasurer, Rajendra Ojha and Gopi Adhikari have filed nominations from Lekhnath Chamber of Commerce and Industry. FNCCI Gandaki has 23 members from the District City category, 55 from the Associate category, and 6 from the Commodity category.

Ramchandra Regmi and Kashi Gurung have filed nominations for Associate membership, while Bimal Prasad Rimal, Dhalendra Chhantyal, Ramkumar Shrestha, Deepak Prasad Sapkota, Thakur B. Poudel, and Hastabahadur Khadka have registered their candidacies for the District City category. Hira Mani Pandit and Chandrakishor Gautam have filed nominations for Commodity membership.
