Dhankuta – Eighteen people, four severely, were injured when a microbus they were travelling in met with an accident at Ramailo Ghumti(turning point) of Dhankuta along the Koshi Highway.
The microbus (Ko 1 Kha 2847) en route to Hile of Dhankuta from Dharan, Sunsari this morning met with the accident and brake failure is blamed for the accident.
Among the injured, driver's assistant Suraj Tamang, passengers Kamala Bhujel, Ishwari Poudel and Umesh Pokhrel with severe injuries were rushed to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for treatment, according to Dhankuta District Police Office chief Surendra Khadka.
Others 14 have already returned home following the treatment at the District Hospital, Dhankuta.---
