“‘Pratham Mahila’ is a program dedicated to women who have overcome numerous challenges to achieve extraordinary success,” said Discovery News Network, the managing entity of Ratopati. The year-long series will feature stories of fifty pioneering women. The program aims to explore the remarkable enthusiasm, activism, skills, arts, progress, success, and happiness of the first Nepali women in various fields.

"Alongside, we will also present the obstacles, oppression, uncertainties, adversity, struggles, and movements they faced,” the network added. According to the network, the role of Nepali women in both national and international spheres has been equally inspiring.

The program will make efforts to present both historical and contemporary perspectives, covering culture, science, technology, and the evolution of women from the past to the present. The program, ‘Pratham Mahila,’ representing Nepali women as half of the sky, is produced by Vijaya Sharma. It will be broadcast every Wednesday at 7 PM on Ratopati’s YouTube channel. The network believes that, like ‘Uthalputhal’ and ‘Ramrajya,’ ‘Pratham Mahila’ will garner strong audience interest.

Previously aired programs like ‘Uthalputhal,’ related to the history of global revolutions, and ‘Ramrajya,’ covering the best works by various countries, have earned affection and praise from the audience, according to the network. The network also highlighted that women have contributed as significantly as men to the transformation and development of Nepal.

Nepali women have made remarkable contributions across diverse fields, including philosophy, literature, politics, culture, knowledge, science, technology, administration, diplomacy, and sports. From ancient times to the digital age, even in today's era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the courage, capability, and talent displayed by Nepali women are commendable and exemplary.
