Man Arrested in Kailali for Allegedly Defrauding People with Promises of Government Jobs and Grants

Dhangadhi. Police have arrested a young man in Kailali on charges of fraud, after he allegedly lured people with promises of securing government jobs and providing grants.

The arrested individual is 33-year-old Tularam Koli from Adarsha Rural Municipality-2, Dot, who is currently residing in Lalpur, Godawari Municipality-6, Kailali. According to DSP Yogendra Timilsina, spokesperson for the District Police Office, a police team apprehended him from his residence.

Koli is currently in the custody of the District Police Office, where further investigation into the fraud case is underway.

According to the police, ten complaints have been registered against him so far for defrauding various individuals. Preliminary investigation suggests that fraud amounting to approximately 1 crore 20 lakh rupees has occurred, while further details are expected to emerge during the ongoing investigation.
