Mumbai Indians Face Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL Clash on Sunday

Kathmandu. In the second day's match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 cricket, five-time champion team Mumbai Indians will compete against Kolkata Knight Riders today (Sunday).

The match between the two teams at Wankhede Cricket Stadium will start at 7:45 PM Nepali time. Mumbai, captained by Hardik Pandya, will aim to start the tournament with an easy victory in the match taking place on their home ground.

Mumbai has not won the IPL title since 2020. Meanwhile, Kolkata, the three-time champion team led by Ajinkya Rahane, will also be searching for an easy win. Kolkata last won the IPL title in 2024.

Historically, both these teams have presented themselves as strong contenders in the IPL. Last season was not memorable for Kolkata.

Kolkata was eliminated from the league stage after securing 12 points from 14 matches. Mumbai, on the other hand, was eliminated from the tournament after being defeated by Punjab Kings in the second qualifier.
