Urlabari, Morang –Two persons were killed in a road mishap at Belbari Municipality-3 along the East-West Highway today.
The deceased have been identified as Khagendra Tamang, 38, of Itahari-1 in Sunsari and Jay Narayan Tamang, 33, of Pauwadumda-5 of Bhojpur district, currently living at Urlabari-3.
The incident took place when a bus (Ko 1 Kha 6435) heading towards east from west hit the motorcycle (Ko 27 Pa 4164).
Khagendra was motorcyclist while Jay Narayan was pillion rider. Police said that Jay Narayan died on the spot.
Similarly, Khagendra was pronounced dead immediately after he was taken to Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. Police have arrested the bus driver and impounded the vehicle.
